Position Overview
We’re seeking a high-performing, motivated Sales Manager to lead our Midwest territory. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a technical, consultative sales environment and is experienced in the full sales cycle — especially closing inbound and sourced leads. This person will also manage and mentor one direct report.
Key Responsibilities
- Close Deals: Take ownership of leads and actively manage the sales process from qualification to closing.
- Territory Development: Expand our market footprint across the Midwest through proactive outreach and relationship-building.
- Client Engagement: Build long-term relationships with stakeholders in pharma, biotech, and med device organizations.
- Team Leadership: Mentor and guide a junior sales rep to hit individual and team sales goals.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal technical, engineering, and project teams to ensure alignment with client needs.
- Reporting & CRM: Maintain accurate sales forecasts, pipeline data, and account activity in our CRM system.
Qualifications
- Industry Background: Minimum 5 years of sales experience in life sciences, with at least 2 years in cleanroom or controlled environment solutions.
- Proven Closer: Demonstrated success in managing leads and consistently closing new business.
- Technical Acumen: Ability to understand cleanroom requirements, modular systems, and regulatory implications (e.g., ISO, GMP).
- Leadership Skills: Prior experience managing or mentoring direct reports is a plus.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, or a related field.
- Travel: Willing and able to travel regionally as needed.
