Drive Growth as a Business Development Manager in a Global CRO

We are actively seeking an experienced Business Development Manager (CRO) to join a full-service Clinical Research Organization supporting global clinical trials from Phase I through IV. This is a strategic role focused on expanding client relationships across the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device sectors.

As a key commercial contributor, you’ll be responsible for generating revenue through proactive outreach, solution-based selling, and partnership development — all while helping shape the future of clinical research delivery.


Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and engage new business opportunities within pharma, biotech, and medtech markets

  • Build a qualified pipeline of leads and develop tailored outreach strategies

  • Manage end-to-end proposal development, pricing, and bid defence processes

  • Establish and maintain strong client relationships using a consultative, value-driven approach

  • Stay informed on industry trends, competitor movements, and market demands

  • Represent the CRO at conferences, trade shows, and virtual events

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (regulatory, operations, medical) to align services with client needs


What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Business, or a related discipline (advanced degree preferred)

  • 3–7 years of proven business development experience in a CRO or clinical research setting

  • Strong understanding of clinical trial design, regulatory pathways, and outsourcing models

  • Track record of exceeding sales targets in a technical services environment

  • CRM experience (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot)

  • Outstanding communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities

  • Willingness to travel up to 30% for client engagement and conferences
