Job Opportunity: Head of Business Development – Pharmacovigilance Consultancy

Are you a seasoned Pharmacovigilance Systems Programmer with a passion for data, compliance, and innovation? Do you have hands-on experience with tools like Argus, Veeva, or HaloPV? If so, we want to hear from you.

This exciting role blends technical expertise with strategic insight. You’ll help manage complex pharmacovigilance systems and support global regulatory compliance—while making a direct impact on healthcare safety.


What You’ll Do

  • Lead the setup and transition of pharmacovigilance safety databases.

  • Ensure full regulatory compliance across EU, UK, and US markets.

  • Develop and optimize SQL queries to support PV and medical information workflows.

  • Configure and maintain platforms for data capture, reporting, and process automation.

  • Collaborate closely with IT and PV teams to enhance system usability.

  • Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with GVP and related standards.

  • Support system validation, create user documentation, and conduct training sessions.


Additional Contributions

  • Assist with routine safety listings, case processing, and system configuration.

  • Support PV/medical teams with data analysis, visualizations, and reporting tasks.

  • Familiar with regulatory environments in pharma and drug development.

  • Skilled in problem-solving, analysis, and structured thinking.

  • A confident communicator with a clear, concise presentation style.

  • Fluent in spoken and written English.

  • Dedicated to meeting deadlines without compromising quality.


Required & Preferred Qualifications

Essential:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Business, or related field.

Desirable:

  • MBA or equivalent business qualification.

  • Certifications in programming, database management, or system development.

  • Fluency in an additional language.

  • Familiarity with ArisG, Veeva Vault Safety, or AI/ML tools.


Technical Skills

Must Have:

  • Strong experience with Argus safety database.

  • Proficient in Microsoft SQL, Excel, or Python.

  • Familiar with Power BI, Tableau, or similar visualization tools.

Addition’s to Have:

  • Experience with ETL, data migration, or validation processes.

  • Background in CRO or pharmaceutical environments.
