About the Role

We’re hiring a Business Development Manager to join a fast-growing, science-driven Contract Research Organization (CRO). This is a fully remote position for a results-oriented professional with a strong background in clinical research sales and strategy. If you’re passionate about improving patient outcomes—especially in dermatology and rare diseases—this could be the perfect opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities with biotech and pharmaceutical clients.

  • Build and manage a strong sales pipeline across all phases of clinical development.

  • Serve as a trusted advisor, offering customized CRO solutions tailored to client needs.

  • Collaborate with internal teams (proposals, operations, science, leadership) to craft compelling pitches.

  • Lead contract negotiations, ensuring alignment with client goals and company capabilities.

  • Represent the company at industry conferences and client meetings to build visibility.

  • Maintain accurate sales data and reporting through CRM tools.

Qualifications

  • 3–5+ years in business development within a CRO, clinical service provider, or life sciences company.

  • Proven success with long-cycle clinical trial sales, ideally Phases I–IV.

  • Expertise in dermatology and rare/orphan disease research is strongly preferred.

  • Solid knowledge of the drug development lifecycle and regulatory environment.

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

  • Comfortable working independently in a remote role.

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in life sciences or business preferred.

Preferred Candidate Location

We’re especially interested in candidates located in Eastern or Central U.S. time zones to support better collaboration and client engagement.
