About the Role
We are looking for an Executive Medical Director (EMD) to lead our clinical strategy and provide expert medical oversight. This role combines clinical leadership, operational support, and client-facing responsibilities. It’s a great fit for an experienced clinical professional who wants to help shape the future of a fast-moving, growing company.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Leadership

Lead the medical strategy for clinical programs.

Work with clients to develop regulatory-compliant trial designs.
2. Clinical Oversight

Serve as a Medical Monitor on clinical trials.

Provide medical input, safety review, and data interpretation.

Help prepare study reports and regulatory submissions.

Ensure compliance with ICH, GCP, FDA, and EMA guidelines.
3. Feasibility and Trial Planning

Identify new clinical trial opportunities.

Conduct feasibility assessments and analyse patient populations.

Evaluate operational and scientific feasibility of new studies.

Assist in protocol design and endpoint selection.
4. Business Development

Support proposal development and provide medical content.

Join bid defense meetings as the clinical expert.

Build and maintain client relationships.

Represent the company at industry events and conferences.
5. Cross-functional Collaboration

Work closely with internal teams like project management, regulatory, stats, and medical writing.

Be the key medical contact for clients.
6. Mentorship and Team Support

Guide and mentor junior team members.

Help build internal processes, SOPs, and training programs.
Requirements
-
MD or equivalent medical degree (board certification preferred).

At least 10 years of experience in clinical development.

Minimum 5 years in a CRO or pharma/biotech setting.

Experience in Phases I–IV clinical trials.

Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-driven environment.
Preferred Qualifications

Prior leadership roles in a CRO or consulting firm.

Experience across multiple therapeutic areas.

Strong client-facing skills and bid defense experience.
