About the Role
A leading clinical research organization is seeking a licensed Pediatrician in the Lexington, VA area to support a pivotal clinical trial. This trial involves a breakthrough therapy for a rare seizure disorder affecting pediatric patients.
This is an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to advancing pediatric healthcare while maintaining a flexible, part-time schedule.
Key Responsibilities

Conduct 9 scheduled patient visits over a 12-month period (approximately one visit per month)

Perform standard clinical assessments in line with the trial protocol

Accurately document clinical observations and findings

Collaborate with the research team to ensure high-quality care and data integrity

Comply with all ethical standards and regulatory requirements

Qualifications

MD or DO with an active Virginia medical license

Board-certified or board-eligible in Pediatrics

Availability for approximately one patient visit per month over 12 months

Clinical trial or research experience is a plus, but not required

A commitment to patient-centered care and interest in advancing new treatment options
About the Trial
This is an ongoing two-year clinical study evaluating a promising new therapy for a rare pediatric seizure disorder. The therapy has shown exceptional early results, with 140 patients enrolled and only one non-responder to date. You will be supporting a newly enrolled patient in the Lexington area as part of this impactful work.
