Job Overview
We’re seeking skilled and compassionate Respiratory Care Practitioners to join a dynamic healthcare team in a hospital-based setting. In this role, you’ll apply intellectual, interpersonal, and technical expertise to help patients of all ages reach their full health potential through respiratory care.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality respiratory care to patients in various departments, including:
- Critical Care
- Emergency Department
- Medical-Surgical
- Telemetry
- Childbirth Center
- Nursery
- Neonatal ICU (NICU)
- Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)
- Assess patient needs and develop individualized respiratory care plans.
- Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and other health professionals.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a Respiratory Therapy program accredited by the Committee on Allied Health Education & Accreditation (CAHEA).
- California Respiratory Care Practitioner License – must be valid upon hire.
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association – required upon hire.
- ACLS and PALS certifications (AHA) – must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
- Minimum 2 years of full-time, hospital-based acute care experience, with exposure to various patient care units.
Candidate Profile
- 2–5 years of relevant experience
- Strong interpersonal and clinical decision-making skills
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-acuity environments
- Associate-level professional with a willingness to work night shifts
Compensation & Benefits
- Base Salary: $74,561 – $93,543 (USD)
- Benefits: Comprehensive (medical, dental, retirement, etc.)
- Relocation Assistance: Possible for ideal candidate
- No commission or bonus compensation
- Not eligible for overtime
- Interview travel not reimbursed
